March 10th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedA camping kitchen are not a luxury if you are going to cook on you next camping trip. There are several ways for you to ensure that your camping kitchen is working at its optimal level and that it continues to do so for a long time to come. In this article, we will discuss in some detail on how to choose camping kitchens and how to keep them performing at their very best.
Choose the Correct Camping Kitchen
Not all camping kitchens serve the same purpose. You have to choose the correct one depending on a wide variety of factors, such as your camping destinations, number of campers in the group, etc. Unless you choose the right kitchen for your camping needs, it will be harder for you to keep them working according to your expectation.
Portability Matters
When you are on your camping trip, quite obviously you might be looking for something that do not make burden on you with its extra weight. So, when you choose a camping kitchen, portability matters a lot. Everyone wants something lightweight. Many lightweight portable kitchens weigh around 12.5lb to 23lb, which are simply ideal to use during camping session.
Proper Fuel Supply
It is essential to choose appropriate fuel supply for your camping kitchen. Fuels that are easily available such as propane are most popular choice for many campers. Since the carrying capacity is limited, it is also important that the chosen fuel should be able to provide enough heat. Butane and propane can serve this purpose effectively.
Additionally, weather influences the selection of fuel quite significantly, for instance, if you are camping during winter, choosing white fuel is good for your camping kitchen. So, it is better that you look for a camping kitchen that has multi-fuel option. In most of the luxurious camping kitchens you can enjoy this facility.
Multi-Burner Facility
Single burner kitchens are good if you are alone on your camping trip. But when you are camping with your family and friends, it is always better to go for a multi-burner camping kitchen. As you know, multi-burner camping kitchens will allow you to cook several items together, this effectively saves your time and effort, and certainly gives you more energy and time to make the moment precious, and after all, this is what you come for.
There Is More Value In A Brand Name
If it were your first camping trip, we would generally steer you away from spending too much money on camping and in fact recommend that you purchase second hand gear to start off with. Buying a camping kitchen however is not the case as a faulty stove can be a recipe for disaster. When buying a camping kitchen new is definitely the go and brand name is always more expensive but will also give you peace of mind. The last thing you want happening is getting burnt or worse miles away from a hospital. The extra bonus of brand names camping kitchens is that they are usually fully loaded with extra features that will come in very handy.

Finding A Family Camping Tent - Fun For All
February 26th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedWhen choosing a family camping tent, there are several things that you must look for. First of all, the family camping tent must be big enough to sleep all members of your family comfortably. Is it sturdy enough? The last thing you want to happen is the tent breaking up in a storm or not being able to withstand heavy rain. The tent should be lightweight and not very hard to put up, pull down and handle. Remember that camping is supposed to be fun and you don’t want to be wasting several hours working out how to put your tent up. If you come across a family camping tent that has all the above you can rest assured that you have the perfect tent for your family camping trip.
Big And Strong
The first thing that you have to think about when finding a family camping tent is that is it going to be big enough and strong enough for your whole family. You should make sure that it has the capacity that you need to keep your entire family in, and that you will be able to have your whole family stay in them. Be sure also that it is very strong so that you can pack a lot of people and a lot of gear, so that you will be able to have everything you need in the family camping tent. Remember that these are the two biggest things you want to focus on with your tent. It should be big, and it should be strong.
Easy To Use
However, when you are camping with your family, part of what you want to be able to do is to have the whole family involved in the camping process. Therefore, you want to be sure that the family camping tent that you choose is easy to use, which means that everyone in the family can help to put it up.
If there are more of you in the family, things are looking up. You should be able to put up a much larger and spacious tent because there will be more people to help you. Trying to put a very large tent up on your own can be very frustrating and difficult if you have not done it before. Have a practice run before you go on your trip and it will save you a lot of heartache.
However if you have a big family, the family camping tent is something that everyone can help with. Therefore, be sure that there are parts of the tent that even the smallest and youngest member of your family can help with. If you can have family camping tent that you can all work with together, it will make family camping time even better for all of you.
If you are able to find a family camping tent that is both big and strong, but also easy to put up and that have something for everyone, you will be able to find a family camping tent that meets your needs.
